Six Vegan Snack Recipes to Try
If you have recently started a vegan lifestyle, or are just looking for some low-calorie, healthy, whole food snack options, here are some ideas for you to try.
*Note: Some of these recipes include the use of an air fryer.
Air-fried Apples
Apples are sweet and delicious, and when air-fried, it is a caramelized, irresistible snack. Slice(or cube) an apple or two, toss them with cinnamon or pumpkin pie seasoning (no added sugar), and air fry at 400 degrees for 5 minutes.

Air-Fried Sweet Potato Fries
Sweet potatoes are full of nutrients that are great for you, many more than the traditional potato. However, everyone craves fries now and then. Thinly slice 1-2 sweet potatoes, toss them with chili powder and salt, and throw them in the air fryer for 10-15 minutes, at 400 degrees. Sometimes I eat it with no-sugar ketchup (10 calories a tbsp)

Smoothie
Smoothies, depending on how you make them, can be a meal or a snack. To keep it lower in calories, keep your ingredients simple. Be sure to watch serving sizes and use a sweet fruit like banana or dates with less sweet fruit, and unsweeted nut milks. For a more satiating smoothie, consider adding a tablespoon of chia seeds.
Coconut yogurt parfait
My favorite type of non-dairy yogurt is coconut yogurt. It feels like cheating. It is rich and creamy and decadent. I usually eat three kinds: the sweetened vanilla (130 cal), the unsweetened (90 cal), or the unsweetened vanilla (80 cal). For a low-calorie snack, using the unsweetened options and topping it with sweet fruit, a tablespoon of honey (70 cal), or a small portion of all-natural sweet cereal, you get a delicious, irresistible treat.
Lettuce wraps
For these easy wraps, fill with seasoned and air-fried tofu, grilled veggies and mushrooms, or a seaoned and chopped mediteranean style salad. Spoon your filling of choice into an ice burg leaf, wrap up and take a crisp bite. This snack is refreshing and delicious. Subscribe, recipes coming soon.
Air-fried broccoli and cauliflower
This is a simple, savory, and satisfying snack. Chop a head of broccoli, and/or a fourth of a cauliflower head, into bite-sized pieces. Inside a bowl, season to taste. I add soy sauce, nutritional yeast, cayenne pepper, chili powder and a small splash of lemon juice. Toss the broccoli and cauliflower in this mixture and air-fry for 5-7 minutes at 300 degrees.
